Data you choose to enter
Pack & Freight processes the request and supplier offers you type, import from its CSV template, or restore from an audit file. This can include supplier names, specifications, quantities, pack prices, minimum packs, delivery, tax basis, quoted lead times, source references and assumptions.
The workspace retains the originally captured offer values alongside later edits. Confirming an offer records the reviewer name you entered, a timestamp and the request and offer values the confirmation applies to. These are local review records, not verified identities or electronic signatures.
This data is used on your device to check compatibility, calculate whole-pack order costs, show your reviewed comparison and prepare exports. No account is required.
Storage and downloads
Work stays in the open tab until you choose Save locally and enter and confirm a passphrase. There is no automatic save or automatic restore. A successful save keeps one encrypted current workspace in this browser profile, including the request, reviewer name, original and current offers, notes and review records. Later changes need saving again. A successful later save replaces that copy. The extension uses Chrome's local extension storage, not Chrome's sync storage.
Clear workspace clears the open working copy; Undo can recover it while that history remains available. Delete local save removes the separate saved browser copy after confirmation and cannot be undone. Neither deletes original files or downloaded exports. Removing the installed extension also removes its local extension storage.
The comparison CSV includes reviewed and unresolved offers, notes and original captured values. The raw JSON audit contains the current workspace and can restore it. It does not contain the in-page Undo history. CSV prefixes formula-like text for spreadsheet safety; JSON preserves the original text. Keep these downloads secure and share them deliberately. Clearing a tab or deleting a save does not erase downloads, device backups or copies you shared elsewhere.
Connections and permissions
The extension does not upload requests, supplier quotes or reviews to an operator server. It has no analytics, advertising, tracking, payment connection or background website access. It does not read browsing history, contact suppliers or place orders. Its only requested extension permission is storage, used for the optional saved workspace.
AK Frames limits this extension's use of requests, supplier offers and review information to the disclosed quote review, optional saving and export features you choose. The extension does not sell that data, use it for advertising, transfer it to data brokers or provide the developer with background access to read it.
Pack & Freight's use and transfer of user data comply with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy's Limited Use requirements.
Protecting your local copy
New optional saved copies are encrypted using your passphrase, AES-256-GCM and PBKDF2-SHA256. The phrase and encryption key are used in memory; the extension does not store, send or export them. Use a long unique phrase of at least 12 characters. Spaces, letter case and exact characters matter. There is no developer recovery key. A separately kept valid raw audit can restore the workspace captured in that audit; it cannot unlock the encrypted saved copy.
An older unencrypted save opens only when you explicitly choose Open older unencrypted save. Opening it does not encrypt or erase it. It remains plaintext until a successful encrypted save replaces it or you delete it. Existing downloads and backups are not retroactively encrypted.
The saved browser copy is limited to 8 MiB including encryption overhead. Encryption overhead means a supported raw audit may be too large to save. A failed save keeps the previous saved copy; offers, notes and reviews are not dropped to fit. The separate raw audit limit is 8,000,000 bytes.
The open workspace, original files, comparison CSV and complete raw-audit JSON remain readable. Protect your device, browser profile, downloads and shared copies. Clearing the workspace is undoable while its in-page history remains; it is not secure erasure. Include only the supplier information needed for the comparison; keep unrelated passwords, access tokens and customer information out of source notes. File hashes check for changed inputs; they do not authenticate a supplier, reviewer or document.
This notice describes the extension. Chrome, the Chrome Web Store, any website hosting these pages, and services you choose to send files to have their own data practices.

If you choose to send a message, your sender details, message and any attachments are provided to AK Frames and the email providers that handle delivery and storage.
Send the minimum information needed, preferably a small fictional reproduction. Never send a passphrase, credentials, confidential supplier quote, full business audit or unrelated personal information. Clearing a workspace or deleting a local save does not delete an email or attachments you chose to send. The website and support privacy notice explains this separate website/email handling.
